Troy Blackwell is a skilled and bilingual strategic communicator whom is currently the Senior Director at Public Relations Society of America-NY, one of the oldest and largest organizations in the PR/communications industry. Additionally, Troy provides strategic counsel to social impact and philanthropy clients. Previously, he was a Weston fellow in the White House office of Public Engagement during the Obama administration, where he worked on Sustainability, My Brothers Keeper initiative, and Criminal Justice Reform.
Prior experience include Gaia Education (GEN-Africa), U.S. Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (State Department), and New York City Council. With GEN-Africa, Troy spent time in Senegal working on green revolution projects including designing and greening the local high school and health centers, and organizing events to raise funds for a micro health project.
