reGina Jane Jere is a Zambian-born London-based journalist and currently the Editor of the New African Woman magazine. Until 2018 she was also the deputy Editor of New African magazine. The mother of two, juggles a wide-range of editorial and managerial duties, but she has passion on women’s health, education, rights and empowerment, as well as fashion and the creative industries in Africa – topics on which she writes extensively. She is also a former Zambian correspondent for Agence France Press, and a former Africa researcher at Index on Censorship, the organisation that monitors media freedom and free speech and related issues across the world. Her work has been published in many publications and books including The Mission: Journalism, Ethics and the World, published by the Iowa State University. She loves to read and write and is as fanatical about the new information technology and social media
